AFRICAN SOLUTIONS TO AFRICAN ISSUES -
OVER 150 AFRICAN TEENS TURN THEIR PAST PAIN INTO FUTURE SOLUTIONS
Many of these teens come from disadvantaged backgrounds that could easily limit their future, or could ignite their drive to become the solution to the very challenges they face. At AYLS, they choose the latter. Through challenging activities, leadership training, and community building, these teens discovered tools to lead themselves, inspire their peers, and begin creating change in their own communities.
AYLS takes place every April in Kenya, with expansion to other African countries to follow.
Before teens can inspire and guide others, they must first develop self-leadership building self-awareness, discipline, and resilience. From that foundation, they can lead peers, teams, and communities with confidence and compassion.
Every teen in our programs is challenged to apply what they’ve learned by creating a Community Impact Project. These projects take the principles of ownership, resilience, and leadership beyond the summit and into the world.
At HUG, every teen is surrounded by a supportive community of mentors and peers who believe in their potential. Our mentors bring wisdom, guidance, and lived experience, while peers provide encouragement, accountability, and shared growth.
Rosemary’s tragedy could have defined her life, but with the right mindset and tools, she refused to let the past control her. While her brothers remain stuck in what happened, Rosemary is focused on her goals and building a better future.
For $500 you could fully sponsor a teen like Rosemary and leave a legacy of lives rewritten when teens need it most.
